Bloggerwave defaults payments

Make money online with someuseless.infoA relative newcomer to the get paid to blog scene, Bloggerwave is a virtual clone of PayPerPost in both its system and website look and feel. In the beginning, some bloggers even spotted a copy and paste job for some of their text.

Now barely a month into operations, bloggers are reporting Bloggerwave making fraudulent payments with PayPal.

Basically, Bloggerwave tried to pay bloggers with funds that they did not have, resulting in PayPal freezing their account. One blogger sent Bloggerwave an email threatening legal action and got paid. The amount? US$10.

Although some did receive payment, many other bloggers in the PayPerPost forums reported not getting paid at all or having their funds taken back by PayPal for fraudulent Bloggerwave payments. Fun, huh?

I tried registering for Bloggerwave to try them out earlier but somehow, my registration never got through - javascript problem, I think. So I just left it at that and never bothered with it again. What a blessing in disguise that turned out to be.

I guess with newcomers to the get paid to blog scene, or indeed with any other kind of make money online programmes, it’s best to just try out with 1 post and keep an alert for any experiences from others. With the blogosphere, it’s fairly easy to keep informed. In fact, a company is almost guaranteed to self-implode if they think that they can pull a fast on bloggers with information going at today’s warp speed.

I was one of the victim. Bloggerwave paid me $60 and a week later Paypal took back the funds. Time and effort wasted , including the time to take down their posts from my blogs. You are right, it is better to try out with one post to make sure they pay. Threaten them with legal action, will that still work? :P

Well…one blogger did and got her $10…but since yours is $60, they may not have enough funds to pay you. What a mess.

      Dear Bloggers,

We are indeed a relatively new company on the commercial blogging scene, a little more than 7 weeks old now, and we plan stay for years with plans of launching local sites on local languages and other new groundbreaking income generating tools for our growing number bloggers.

The reason behind delayed payments has nothing to do with lack of funding, cash flow problems or similar. We have had problems with clearing our Paypal payment account and have been dragged around until the end of this week where we finally got all issues solved and started paying all of our bloggers.

We will post a newsletter on Friday June 1st 2007 to our entire Bloggerwave community explaining this minor speed bump on the road to making Bloggerwave a leading commercial blogging solutions.

We always eager to receive ideas for changes, improvement, correction of errors etc. and any of our Bloggers, advertiser and users are more than welcome to contact me directly on ust for assistance or help.

      Best regards,

      Ulrik Thomsen

I wonder where you, Bloggerwave people, plan to send that $40.00 showing as “SENT” in my dashboard?! I checked all my paypal addresses and there’s none from you!

Why not try emailing them, they may have inadvertently missed out a few payments given the messy situation earlier.

      Hope you get your money.

PS. You can email the CEO directly. His email is on his post.;)

Bloggerwave did pay me.. and also the “missing 40usd” from last month. Greatly appreciated Mr. Ulrik Thomsen.

I still wonder though, if i am just missing the payment sched on the entire bloggerwave site.. or there really is none? mmm..

    14. emigre on July 2nd, 2007 9:30 am

They should have the payment schedule info in their FAQ.

Glad you got your money. I really do think Bloggerwave were just suffering from startup blues compounded by very strict PayPal terms.

    15. Rose on July 10th, 2007 5:52 am

I think I’ll play it safe for now and maybe try payperpost.
