Where To Get Free Blogs Besides Blogger

There are many places that offer free blogs if you don’t want to spend money to get your own domain or hosting. The most well-known of these is, of course Blogger. If you’re starting a personal diary and not a money-making blog that needs to contain keywords in its domain, Blogger is fine. If you want a blog with the keywords you want, Blogger will present some problems since it’s been around for ages, getting a domain with the keywords you want is often not possible.

There are many other sites that offer free blogs besides Blogger.

With some of these free blog sites, you can get a domain like “http://yourkeyword.freeblog.com” instead of “http://freeblog.com/blog/yourkeyword” or worse, “http://freeblog.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977397288&” but all are useful for creating backlinks.

These are ideal for setting up additional blogs for some projects you may have or for creating backlinks although you have to be careful about being too blatant with your linking. For some sites such as Fortune City and HubPages, blogs that are perceived as being “overly promotional” will be removed without notice.
