How To Get Listed Free In Directories Fast

If you do directory submissions to increase backlinks, you will know that if you opt for a free link, most directories take anywhere from a week to several months to include your link, if at all. Some opt for reciprocal submissions, that is, you put the directory link on your site in return to get listed. Sometimes this could get your sites listed faster but more often than not, you still have to wait a long time.

Reciprocal links are the least desirable and are best avoided not only because you are giving out PR juice. Having a long list of directories on your site also makes your site look like a directory itself. If you must, keep the links “nofollow” or better still remove them after your site is listed. But this can be troublesome to keep track of especially if you have many sites.

The best is to have non-reciprocal, one way links from directories. And better still if the links get approved and listed within a day or so. But how to get these links?

If you go to top making money online forum such as DP forum, go to the directories section and check for offers of free listing from directory owners. Granted, many of these are new directories looking to build up their directory database. They do nothing for your PR but even with high PR directories or paying directories, the page where your directory listing appears is most likely a PR0 anyway.

Some more established directories also offer free links and fast approvals from time to time, so make your submissions to these first and then work your way down to the newer directories. An advantage that newer directories have is that you can most likely get the anchor text link of your choice in the title. Usually if you list in these directories, they are one way, non-reciprocal links that get approved and listed by the next day or so.

Directory listings are low quality links by nature and it’s more a numbers game unless you are prepared to pay for a listing in a premium directory which can cost US$20 to over US$70 per listing, in some cases that’s for per year. If you have 10 or 20 sites to list, you are looking at some insane numbers.

If you submit to 5 or 10 such directories per day, you could get a few hundred backlinks in a month’s time.
