Joining The DoFollow Club
Some Useless dot Info is now a member of the dofollow club of blogs. Although various dofollow plugins have been around for awhile, I was hesitant to implement it for fear of abuse. But now Lucia’s Linky Love plugin has evolved to into an effective, customizable dofollow plugin that does more than just add dofollow tags.

The plugin not only serves its main purpose of encouraging comments by giving a “dofollow” tag but also controls spam with its latest features. You can control the number of characters allowed for author names to avoid spammy names like Make money online now with easy home based business.
You can set the minimum number of comments made before they become dofollow to discourage hit and run spam. Links within comments can also be set to become dofollow after a certain number is reached.
In addition, your blog is safeguarded against spam when you are away on holiday. Dofollows are not added to comments which are left more than 14 days. So you can leave comments on without fear of being overrun by spam.
In case you’re unaware, Wordpress comments are tagged “nofollow” by default meaning that links do not count in search engine rankings. There is some confusion as to who started the whole dofollow movement but CourtneyTuttle.com compiled dofollow blogs into the “D-List” to help bloggers locate blogs that have “nofollow” tags disabled.
A community of over 400 blogs can be found at the No Nofollow|I Follow|DoFollow Community at Bumpzee and is a great place to search for blogs in your niche.
There are also tweaked dofollow search engines here and here which let you search for dofollow blogs so that you can build up a list of inbound links to your site.
So leave your comments liberally - Some Useless dot Info is dofollow.
