Earn Money Writing Freelance At TypeOrWrite

UPDATE: This site is no longer available.

A failry new site for freelance writing, this get paid to site offers writing opportunities with varying pay amounts. Unlike some other freelance writing sites, you don’t get to write whatever you want here. This is not an AdSense revenue sharing blogging site – your articles are paid upfront.

Freelance Writing

A list of topics currently in demand are given together with the offer price for each article. At the moment there are only 3 categories namely politics, technology and finance. The topics are quite broad but a brief outline of what is required is given as a guide for writers. There can still be some scope even though there are only 3 categories, for example under finance, you can write about money saving tips, how to make money at home and so on.

Prices currently offered for each article ranges from $1.50 to $3.00 per article although the site states that articles are paid between $1 to $10 depending on demand.

How It Works
1. Articles should be 300-1500 words long.
2. Payments are made monthly for articles accepted that month.
3. Payments are made by PayPal.

What I like about this site is that you know exactly what you are getting. For other revenue sharing sites, your earnings depend on traffic, ppc and other restrictions. Earnings can be very slow since pay-per-click earns in cents. Here, if you submit 10 articles a week earning $1.50 per article, you know you will be paid $15. I doubt if PPC Adsense sharing blogging sites can earn you that same amount in a week.

$100 Grand Opening Contest
TypeOrWrite is having a contest where the person who submits the most original articles will win an extra $100 on top of the usual payments. This promotion is currently running and will end on 11:59 PM CST Friday, January 4th.

Still, since there is no indication of their level of acceptance or rejection of articles, I would suggest trying them out by submitting 1 or 2 articles.

I subscribed to typeorwrite and sent in several articles. I did not hear back from them and when I try to log in I cannot connect to them, they seem to be gone. What happened and did they turn out to be a scam?
