10 Blog Contests

Blog contests have become very popular lately with blogs using contests as a way to increase interest and traffic to their sites. This is a creative way to interact with readers and entice them to visit regularly. Prizes vary greatly though - from cash prizes of $5.00, to Amazon Gift Certificates and bigger prizes such as LCD monitors.

1. John Chow Dot Com: Evil Blog Contest is giving away a 24 inch LCD screen. To participate, you have to blog about the contest with a link. Deadline: 31 July 2007.

2. Patrick Curl’s Hot Days Of Summer Contest. Prizes include links and various cash prizes of up to $75.00. Deadline: 15 August 2007.

3. Enkay Blog is giving away an MP3/Video Player and Picture Viewer which has 1GB storage and a 2.0″ TFT screen. Just blog about the contest with a link. Deadline: 31 August 2007.

4. 6 Days Of Prizes is having a variety of contests over 6 days with prizes ranging from links to an MP3 player to cash. Deadline: 22 July 2007.

5. Guess The Next PageRank Update is offering an audio headset, lava lamp and an assortment of Google merchandise for the closest guesses. Deadline: When PR update happens.

6. Subscribe to INVESP and win $400.00 A secret word will be posted before end August and subscribers have to email the secret word to enter a lucky draw. Deadline: Before end August 2007.

7. CyberStreet Report Survey is a weekly contest that gives away $25.00 via PayPal and an optional website review for completing its survey. Deadline: End of each week.

8. Review My Blog is a straightforward blog review contest that is giving $100 to the best review. Deadline: 7 August 2007.

9. Voice Annote Your Blog Post is giving away $50.00 for you to add audio to your blog post. Deadline: 31 July 2007.

10. ProfitSense Blogger is giving away $100.00 to the person who gets the most points by writing a review and subscribing to its RSS Feed. Deadline: 24 July 2007.

I reckon if you have the time to take part in all the contests available, you’d be able to win something decent. I’m going to have a go at some of these myself.
