Make money by writing online

You can make money online with product reviews that tell people if a product is any good. After spending the last few days of extensive searching for possibilities to earn money by writing for websites, the usual suspects turned up not only in search engines but wiritng forums, paid blogging sites and bloggers who are searching for paid blogging. Just how feasible are these avenues of earning money online?

Paid Blogging
Paid blogging is a very slow and labour intensive way to make money. Most of these sites depend on visitors to click on Google Adsense for earnings. These earnings are then shared among contributing bloggers. You earn a few cents at a time, so in order to get any substantial sum of money, you have blog lots, and even then, only if your blog gets read will you get paid. As one of these sites put it, just blog 100,000 times a month and you will earn US$1,000. Some of these sites are: Blogfeast, Blogit, Blogcharm, Bloggerparty. Blogitive is one of the best paying,with $5 a blog but it seems they have more bloggers than offers at the moment.

Paid Reviews/Information
This is similar to paid surveys in that you get paid for your opinion. While paid surveys require you to fill in a questionaire, paid reviews give you subjects to review. One of the most well-known is ReviewStream. The amount paid ranges from US$0.20 to US$2.00 per review. I tested it a few days ago but have yet to hear anything from them.

Other review sites use a system similar to paid blogging. Your review has to be read in order to earn a few cents. Revenue from Google Adsense is shared among contributors. Such sites include Epinions, Shvoong, WritingUp, NicheWriting, GoldenProse, MyArticleAgent. WiseOrb, AssociatedContent and ConstantContent are information based sites where you can write on anything from travel and books to electronics and health.

PayPerPost and BloggingAds operate in a slightly different way in that you will write about a product or service on your own blog. However, your blog needs to be at least 90 days old in the case of PayPerPost or be listed in Google’s search for BloggingAds. These are like a crossover between paid blogging and paid review. This business model has come under much criticism in the blogosphere as many bloggers feel that this will tarnish reputation of the whole bloggin culture, since blogging is very much the opinion of the individual.

There are also forums which pay you to post such as CashPosting.

On a slightly different variation, Helium Knowledge lets members ask and answer all kinds of questions, and rate each others’ answers which determines the amount earned. It is not revealed just exactlly how this works. I posted several answers a few days ago and have earned a grand total of US$0.02.

Professional Writing
At Academia-Research, the writing is, as the name suggests, academic - essays, term papers. EssayWriters is another professional writing site which is worth looking at. These at least are feasible as a means of income.
