Crisp Ads - Monetize your blog

Crisp Ads is a keyword-based advertising service, similar to Google AdSense that helps bloggers monetize their site by listing the site for advertisers to buy advertising space and also earn advertising revenue by per-click through text ads. You can choose your own text ads by keywords.
How It Works
1. Text ads earn on a pay-per-click basis.
2. Graphical ads also earn on a pay-per-click basis, in addition to advertisers paying for monthly for ad space at a price you specify. (plus CrispAds’ 30% markup)
3. If no advertisers buy your ad space for graphical ads, CrispAds will fill the space with pay-per-click text and graphical ads where you get paid when someone clicks on the ad.
4. CrispAds uses a proprietary method of providing ads to your blog that is not based on contextual, but by letting you choose the keywords you feel interest your readers.
Requirements
1. Fraudulent clicks are prohibited.
2. CrispAds analyzes clicks to determine whether they are fraudulent.
3. Blog pages and feed items must not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads.
4. Accounts which violate CrispAds terms and conditions may be terminated and refused payment without notice.
Payment
1. Payment is made at the end of the month with a minimum of US$5 through PayPal.
2. Amounts over US$500 can be paid by cheque.
I have signed up for CrispAds to give it a try. I opted only text link ads and a 346×305 rectangle which consists of 4 ads. Only readers from certain countries see these ads. At the moment, I only see a big, blank space which I’m not too happy about, but I will try it out and see how it goes.
UPDATE: I have disabled CrispAds after no activity.

[…] ADVERTISING I’m not keen on this method as firstly, I believe you need substantial traffic to get a decent amount of clicks if they are Pay-Per-Click or Action, such as Google AdSense. Also there is the consideration that the ads may turn off visitors. Personally, I hardly ever click on any ads when I visit sites unless I consciously want to support that site. I have just removed the CrispAds ad code after no activity for 2 weeks. […]
