ExpertVillage.com is a paid video site with a difference. It pays for high quality instructional how-to videos from qualified contributors instead of the usual humour and stunt videos you see at most video sites. Some interesting subjects covered:
• Using a groin kick in self-defense
• Learn to play music instruments
• Cleansing oily skin
• Pilates exercise
• Pool table trick shots
• How to attach RAM and the hard drive to the motherboard
• Doing a u-turn in a dog sled

How It Works
1. You can apply to be an expert ie. you will appear in a video.
2. You can apply to be a filmmaker ie. you film the video with professional equipment.
3. A filmmaker can pick an assignment from the list of Available Assignments list.
4. You can also be an independent filmmaker anywhere in the world and submit your video.
5. You can submit your existing videos for consideration.
6. Average payment is US$300 per assignment submitted.

Requirements
1. An assignment from the Available Assignments list consists of 15, 1-3minute clips on a topic.
2. For example, the topic is Car Maintenance. The 15 clips could be on how to change oil, how to change car tires etc.
3. Once you have completed one assignment, you will be considered for “Preferred Filmmaker” status which allows you to choose to take on up to 10 assignments at a go. Make Money Online
4. For topics where it is not possible to produce 15 clips, a pro-rated payment may be arranged.
5. Appearance, location and footage release forms, plus your tax form are required.
6. Deliverables include field tapes, dvds, Quicktime files and a 50-100 word bio on the expert - all to be sent by FedEx. This is paid by ExpertVillage.
7. ExpertVillage will own the copyright to your videos but you can use them for promotional purposes.
8. Videos must meet technical quality and expert quality requirements.
9. For all complete submissions that include all necessary releases, and adhere to the format of Expert Village, that they do not accept, they will pay a $50 non-acceptance fee.

Payment
Payment is through PayPal.

Given the high quality requirement, both technically and content-wise, this is not for the casual mobile phone or camcorder video enthusiast. Also, US$300 is not a lot of money for 15 clips.
