Join the Z-List for more traffic
The Z-List is created by Mack Collier from The Viral Garden in December 2006. Its aim is to let lesser known blogs increase links and traffic in reponse to Technorati’s way of ranking blogs. This is a call for lesser known blogs to band together and give each other the much needed exposure to get higher ranking.
Collier suggested an “honor rule” that bloggers should not include their own blogs on the list to ensure that the list isn’t manipulated for self-promotion. But please add the blog where you got the list from.
How to participate?1. Create a new post on your blog.
2. Copy and paste the entire list of links below
3. Add any blogs that you want to include at the top of the list.
4. Include the blog where you got the list from.
5. Do not include your own blog on the list in your post.
6. Make sure that all links point to each blog’s homepage.
7. Publish the post.
To make things easier, just right click and save this text file to your desktop so you can just copy and past the html directly.

so whats the logic behind this?
i though the search engines would consider this a link farm and penalize you.
The list is a very straight-forward way of getting more links but there’s a catch. Bloggers are entrusted with voluntarily adding other sites to the list. Doesn’t always work.
Plus, because it doesn’t have a base from which to update the links like a javascript blogroll, it gets increasingly disorganized as different people get the list from different blogs.
As for being penalized for being a link farm…I’m not sure about this.
