The eagerly awaited next generation Apple iPhone 5 with a faster processor but similar looks to the iPhone 4 will begin production in July/August and start shipping in September according to Reuters.
The faster processor is likely to be the Dual-Core A5 processor that is also used in the iPad 2. Other design detail rumors are still largely just that – rumors with supposed mockups showing a larger 3.7inch screen with a gesture area and a teardrop design that goes from thick to thin similar to the Macbook Air.
Meanwhile, the white version of the iPhone 4 is finally launched this week after a 10-month delay. It is not expected to see the rush of orders that is normally associated with an Apple product launch as most people already have the black version and those who don’t are waiting for the iPhone 5.
