SpyMedia – Sell your snapshots
One of the best ways to make money online is to share or sell your photos. SpyMedia is a cross between a microstock photo agency and Flickr. You upload pictures to share with friends and family, and for sale. The site is free to join and there does not seem to be any specific requirements for photos, unlike microstock agencies which reject images that are too noisy or do not meet their list of specifications, hence the proliferation of amateur party snapshots and the like.
How it works
You set the sale price and licensing rights of your photos. From the TOS page : “Spy Media will retain a commission of thirty-five percent (35%) of your designated price. A Standard Rate PayPal transaction charge of thirty cents (US$0.30) plus two and nine-tenths (2.9%) of your designated price will also be deducted and the remainder will be credited to you.” Prospective buyers can also set a request for a particular image at a price they are willing to pay and any member with such an image can fulfill the order.
Payment
At the moment there are only 3,482 images on the site. You can promote your pictures on your blog using widgets provided. Payment is made through PayPal with a minimum sum of US$100. There is no forum for members so there is no way to tell how good earnings are or what issues members may have.
